Donna Hays Fruit Crumble


If you've been looking for the perfect crumble recipe look no further, this crumble from Donna Hay is delicious and perfect for those cold winter nights. You can use any type of fruit you have on hand, I like to use tinned apples and a mixture of frozen berry's for a quick easy dessert.


Donna Hay's Fruit Crumble

Filling:
6 cups chopped or tinned fruit of your choice.

Topping:
1 1/3 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup plain flour
1 tsp cinnamon
100 g softened butter
Chopped nuts(optional) I used chopped almonds

Preheat oven to 180c. 
Place fruit in an oven proof dish. To make crumble topping, combine oats, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nuts(optional) and butter. Spoon over fruit and bake for 25 minutes or until golden. Serve warm with Ice-cream or cream.
